Album Options
It was such great fun photographing your wedding and now the real fun begins – designing an album to commemorate the event that will last a lifetime!
A few quick steps and we will be on our way:
First – We need to figure out how many pages:
This will be partly determined by how many images you want to have in it. Typically you want to keep the number low, like 4 or 5 to a spread (two pages or sides). The typical album being about 22-26 pages (12-15 spreads), so your looking for something like 60-80 images in total.
If you want to pick 50-60 images that are ‘must haves’ for the album, I can fill in the rest to tell a story of the day.
Before I can lay it out and send you a proof we will have to decide on a size and style of book. There are dozens of different styles.
HERE is a form to fill out that will help you organize your image selections
Second – We need to figure out the type of book you want:
My ‘Standard Wedding Album’ option is a slim line modern album that is characterized by extreme slimness (from a minimum of 10 pages(20 sides) to a maximum of 40 (80 sides) with pages similar to thin matte board, the album is printed on high quality matte photographic paper and features an attractive minimalist design with a high quality continuous-page binding. The images are flush mount – meaning there are no edges to the pages. The covers are simple photographic prints and text and logos can be added anywhere as well as on the spine of the book.
The Standard wedding albums range in size from a small 4×6″ up to 8×12″.
My Deluxe Wedding Albums come in all shapes and sizes from 8×11 to 14×18 and dozens of cover options.
You can download an overview catalog of the different options HERE and displays many of the styles and features.
You can also download “The Full Epoca Catalog” which offers many more styles and options HERE. (it is a LARGE file and will take a couple of minutes to download 🙂
And finally you can find a price list of all the album options HERE.
All are PDF files that you can save to your computer and look at off line if you wish.
The three styles of books that you have seen as my demo books are the “Bellagio” style with dark brown leather and a photo on the cover, the “Cannes” style with cloth cover and leather bow, and the “Las Vegas” style with a Plexiglas cover and metalic image under it.
Third – Size and format:
We can go REALLY BIG with an album – up to 14×18″ in a Deluxe Album or as small as 4×6″ in a Standard Album.
The format can be in the following proportions:
2:3 – 8×12″, 9×14″, 12×18″
3:4 – 8×11″, 9×13″, 12×16″, 14×18″
1:1 – 10×10″, 12×12″, 14×14″, 16×16″
4:3 – 11×8″, 13×9″, 16×12″
The most typical size being a 2:3 format with a size of 9×14.
Fourth – the Extras:
Many of the covers can be customized with embossed lettering or other type.
The page edges can be guilded with gold or silver.
The Deluxe Albums can be ordered with custom boxes with photos on them, or suitcases for easy transportation and safe storage.
There is a 15% discount when ordering more than one album at the same time.
